House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says she was misled in thinking it was OK to make a solo visit to a hair salon in San Francisco. Critics, including President Trump, are asking why she didn’t know the coronavirus-related rules in her home city.

Pelosi said Wednesday she takes responsibility for trusting the word of a San Francisco hair salon that it was OK to come in for a solo visit — even though the city still does not allow indoor beauty services because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Hair Salons were forced to be shut down for many months in #sanfrancisco but when it comes to VIP Democrats like #NancyPelosi those rules don’t apply. It’s not like the #governor of #California #GavinNewsom (who is #SpeakerPelosi’s nephew—yeah really…) is going to say much about it. No problem Auntie Nancy! Anything you want. I’m sure she chugged wine and ate cheese as she got her treatment. Maybe she even had her fancy ice cream delivered to the salon… probably on the tax-payers dime. How great is she though? What a heroic woman! The rich and famous always give themselves different standards than they demand of you, especially old career-politicians like Nancy. The owner of this #hairsalon (who did NOT okay being opened for Nancy’s hair treatment) called it a ‘slap in the face’. In security footage obtained by #FoxNews, #Pelosi is seen walking through the salon Monday with wet hair and perhaps most interestingly, without a #facemask over her mouth or nose. 😷 I guess rules don’t apply to the wealthy corrupt politicians … but only as long as they’re Democrats. If this were a Republican, the news media would be parading and demanding for them to resign. But it’s a Democrat so 🤷🏻‍♂️. Nice privilege, Nancy. Does this mean ALL salons can now open and some people can be allowed to reopen their business and possible not lose it? Probably not. Unless Nancy frequents your hair salon, you’ll probably have to wait longer. #GovernorNewsom will keep CA locked down until we find the cure for death. 🤡 #trump2020 #makeamericagreatagain #2020election #election2020 #kamalaharris2020 #keepamericagreat2020

The owner of a San Francisco hair salon visited by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi earlier this week denied what she called the Democrat’s “absolutely false” accusation that she had been the victim of a “set up”. ESalonSF owner Erica Kious told “Tucker Carlson Tonight” Wednesday that Pelosi was serviced by an independent stylist who rents chairs in her salon. Kious said she decided to share the now-viral security camera footage when she found the Speaker indoors without a mask in what she called a “hurtful” display of hypocrisy. Kious spoke to host Tucker Carlson hours after Pelosi addressed the backlash, claiming that she had frequented the salon “over the years many times,” and demanding an apology from the owner ” for setting me up.” “There was no way I could’ve set that up,” Kious fired back. “I’ve had a camera system in there for five years. I mean, I didn’t go in there and turn cameras on as soon as she walked in and set her up. So that is absolutely false.” Salons in San Francisco had been closed since March and could only reopen for outdoor hairstyling services on Sept. 1. Pelosi said she understood that coronavirus restrictions allowed for a one-on-one appointment indoors. A testy Nancy Pelosi said Wednesday she takes responsibility for trusting the word of a San Francisco hair salon that it was OK to come in for a solo visit — even though the city still does not allow indoor beauty services because of the coronavirus pandemic. But the Democratic House Speaker called Monday’s visit a “set-up” and said the salon owes her an apology for misrepresenting city health orders. “I take responsibility for trusting the word of a neighborhood salon that I’ve been to over the years many times, and that when they said … we’re able to accommodate people, one person, at a time, and that we can set up that time, I trusted that,” Pelosi told reporters Wednesday. “As it turns out, it was a set-up.” “I take responsibility for falling for a set-up,” she said. Pelosi is facing fierce backlash after Fox News Channel aired surveillance footage from the salon that showed her walking through the salon with her hair wet and with a mask around her neck rather than on her face. In the clip, a masked stylist follows her. Keep Reading: https://bit.ly/355Btmx NEW TO OUR CHANNEL? Hi! We’re 10 Tampa Bay, the CBS affiliate serving the Tampa Bay area.
